Prof. Dr. Sina Ercan received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Marmara University in 1993. He then became a Thoracic Surgery specialist at the same university in 1999. In 1996, he worked at Harvard Boston Massachusetts General Hospital, Deaconess Hospital, and Children's Hospital, Cornell University Memorial Kettering Sloan Cancer Center in 1997, Mayo Clinic Rochester Minnesota between 1999-2001, Mayo Clinic Scottsdale Arizona between 2001-2002, Cleveland Clinic between 2002-2003, Case Western Reserve University Hospital between 2004-2005. Since 2013, he has been serving as the Dean of the Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine. He is a member of the European Respiratory Society, Turkish Thoracic Society, Turkish Society of Thoracic Surgery, Turkish Society of Respiratory Research, Turkish Society of Cardiovascular Surgery, and Turkish Higher Education Quality Board.
